Our one full time parks maintenance employee has a starting pay of $21/hr. Our seasonal staff made $12/hr last year, but we are hoping to increase to $14/hr this summer.

Job Description:

The City of Humboldt, Iowa (4,690) is seeking applicants for the position of Parks Assistant. Position reports to the Parks Superintendent and performs a variety of work on City parks and facilities including but not limited to mowing, weed-eating, other landscaping work, snow removal, as well as minor maintenance on equipment and facilities. Requirements include valid Iowa driver’s license, or ability to obtain one prior to employment; ability to operate lawn and landscaping equipment and power tools. Position is full-time with excellent benefits.

We have one full time parks maintenance employee in Story City. He has been with the city for 5 and makes $26.75/hr. We start our seasonal parks staff at $10-$12/hr.

[Maxton Kearns]

City of Garner pays our seasonal staff $12-$14/hour. We do not have any parks maintenance on our staff.
