We have just started seeing a few cemetery stones/benches that actually house cremation urns inside of them. Owner still buys plot and pays for regular service according to our cremation policy as of right now. We did have someone questions why they are paying a “Grave Opening/Closing” if their urn isn’t being put into the ground.
Would love to hear what others who oversee cemeteries are doing with this or if they have any other verbiage in policy they’d be willing to share.
