This year we have been struggling with parents dropping off children at the aquatic center who are very young and able not to touch past our kids area. I am checking to see what other facilities use for a guideline to come without a parent. Do you use age or swimming lesson levels? Do you have an age requirement for a sibling to bring younger siblings?

City of North Liberty – children must have completed Grade 5 in order to use facility without supervision. Supervision must be someone at least 16 yrs old taking responsibility in watching them.

Marshalltown – Children under the age of 9 MUST be accompanied by an adult or a responsible person 15 years old or older ACTIVELY supervising them at all times both in and out of the water.

We raised the age a few years ago and I am considering raising it again.
