2025 Award Nominations – update
It was brought to my attention last week that the criteria for the Dr. Carole Hanson award did not reflect changes that the IPRA Board of Directors voted on back in March of 2023. At that time, the board held a discussion to expand the eligibility of the award nominees as they felt there were many deserving members and the IPRA was missing out on good nominees with the limit of only being a professional member for seven (7) or less years.
At the time, the Board of Directors voted to expand to the following wording – “an individual member who is age 35 and younger with at least three (3) years of IPRA membership in good standing”.
The IPRA Bylaws were never updated to reflect this change nor the award nomination brochure, so IPRA has been publishing the old requirements of no more than seven (7) years in the 2024 and 2025 Awards Nomination Brochure.
Effective immediately, the criteria for the Dr. Carole Hanson award will be expanded to include an individual member who is age 35 and younger with at least three (3) years of IPRA membership in good standing.
We apologize for the error, and we will be extending all award nominations with a new deadline of Wednesday, February 12 at NOON to accommodate the gathering of information and writing letters of support.
If anyone has any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at kelly@iapra.org or 641-325-2164.
DEADLINE: Noon, Wednesday, February 12, 2025
