    Hey Everyone,

Does any communities have an ice rink in their park? How do you supervise? Is it used like playground equipment that anyone can use at any time at their own risk? Do you have staff supervise during certain times? Is the ice rink fenced in? We are in the process of possibly purchasing one but are being informed if we do we will have a lot of rules to follow to have one and if it would be worth it or not. Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

    Hi Adam,

    Hi Adam,

We have an ice rink in our city park. It is used at their own risk. It is not fenced in. I do not supervise it. People in the community and surrounding area absolutely love it. They are a lot of work when it snows so be ready for pushing a lot of snow. Ours is 80 x 120. We do not rent skates either. I decided I didn’t want to be on call 24/7 to rent out skates and keep them sharpened. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Respectfully,
    Kathy Guyer
