I am curious what towns/Aquatic Centers have cameras and where are they located? Do they face the water? Are they monitored 24/7 or just recorded? What is your policy if someone drowns when you are closed (after hours)? How did you convince your city to allow for cameras?

I would love cameras on the outside of our buildings but was told that they could not face the water. If the camera faced the water, the camera would have to monitored by someone at all times in case someone jumped in the water (after hours) and drowned. Then the person monitoring the cameras could then call for help. There was a lawsuit against a country club because someone drowned in their pool after hours and the family won the law suit.

Any information you can give me would be very helpful!
